Johnny Quatro has certainly had an amazing year, after performing at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas in June, Johnny came home to
win the nationally held "Wessex FM Ultimate Elvis Competition" in September held at the Weymouth Pavilion, in front of
some thousand diehard Elvis fans. The show consisted of 15 Elvis tributes from all over the UK, including Scotland and
Ireland, they battled it out and Johnny was crowned The Ultimate Elvis 2004.
"Johnny won through with songs from his GI set which included GI Blues, Rocka Hula, Return To Sender and Are You Lonesome
Tonight. Dressed in his GI army uniform, Johnny wooed the judges and the audience with his great renditions of Return To
Sender and Are You Lonesome Tonight amongst others" (Weymouth herald 2004).
Johnny has always been able to sing songs remarkably like the original singer, be it Neil Diamond, Cliff Richard,
Liam Gallagher, Louie Armstrong and of course Elvis Presley.
“People have always commented on how much I sound like Elvis, so much so I decided to add an Elvis Tribute into my act.
It started as a bit of fun, but people loved it and soon they began to book me just to do Elvis Presley.
I'd always wanted an authentic Elvis jumpsuit so I invested in the best, from the makers of Elvis originals.
The first time I put it on I had goose bumps and I am not ashamed to admit a tear in my eye! It really raised my game
and I decided to concentrate on producing a really good Elvis show in it's own right. I had the same feeling when I
sang at Caesars’ Palace this year. Awesome!
I now own three jumpsuits and will continue to add to these each year. I also have a copy of the '68 Comeback Special
two piece leather suit, but boy is it hot". (Johnny Quatro 04/2005)
Johnny Quatro has also won critical acclaim for his other tribute acts, which include Barry Gibb of the BeeGees,
Paul McCartney and the Beatles and Cliff Richard.
“ Johnny Quatro truly is one of the handful of great multi-tribute acts on the circuit today”
(Limelight Entertainment.)
Johnny has preformed at National theatres, corporate events, weddings, clubs, and pubs alike, and can offer bespoke
packages for all occasions.
“ It can be quite difficult braking through into social clubs, especially as a solo act, as they generally prefer
a minimum
of a three piece band.
When I split with my band I did have to convince some of the clubs that I could carry the night on my own. The clubs
that booked me have always given me repeat bookings and have always commented on how enjoyable the night was.
Entertainment is about quality of the entertainer not the quantity of the musicians” (Johnny Quatro)
“ Johnny is truly a great entertainer and is the only solo artiste we book” (Kinson Conservative Club)
Johnny Quatro is certainly able to hold an audience and has a natural relaxed professional feel about him. He comes
across as someone who really enjoys what he does.
